Any creature that has an essentia pool can transfer 1 point of essentia from its pool into a ring of essentia simply by touching it and willing the transfer to occur (a standard action). Doing so reduces the size of the donor’s essentia pool by 1. The ring can hold no more than 1 point of essentia.
At any time within the next 24 hours, you can use this essentia as if it were part of your own essentia pool—even if you don’t have essentia of your own—simply by willing its release while you wear the ring. The stored essentia returns to its original owner automatically after you use it, or after 24 hours if it remains unused. Alternatively, the donor of the stored essentia can reclaim it earlier by touching the ring and willing it to return (a standard action).
